Locations and Timing

There are many great outdoor locations in the Lansing area. Parks, playgrounds, downtown, even your own backyard! If you would like, I can suggest a location for your session or feel free to select a place on your own. Morning and evenings are best for portraits, to avoid harsh light and shadows from the sun.

What to Wear

Please wear anything that is comfortable for you! Either formal or casual, as long as it suits you. Solid colors look best as shirts with phrases or graphics tend to distract viewers from the face. Similar or coordinating colors within a group really help to tie a photo together. For beach portraits I would suggest either khaki or jean pants/skirts with a white or solid colored top. Please remember that these are your photos and they should reflect you!
